"Match of the Day"

BBC Match of the Day Commentator Steve Wilson came to Chasetown FC in 2005 for an FA Cup First Round tie and has followed the club ever since.

Back in June, I mentioned I'd written a book, he tweeted about it, but understandably was reserved about recommending it without reading it.

So, I sent him a copy (found out he had a son who was keen to read it) and, today, Steve Wilson tweeted that he would happily "recommend this to younger readers and football fans".

A major boost to my writing, to know that a professional in the football industry enjoyed the book.
